Body Composition Testing
IAP goes beyond traditional body composition analysis with the use of the InBody 570 system. It not only analyzes how much fat and muscle you have, but it also measures your Total Body Water and divides it into intracellular and Extracellular water, values important for understanding a user’s fluid distribution in medical, wellness, or fitness contexts.
Functional Movement Screen (FMS)
The Functional Movement Screen is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns key to normal function. Screening readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries which may decrease your ability to move correctly and limit your ability to train effectively and injury free. Your IAP trainer/coach has a duty to ensure that we take all measures possible to build a training program suited to your needs, goals and abilities. The Functional Movement Screen allows us to identify potential at risk movement patterns and provide specific corrective exercises an individual may need to be successful.
ASTYM is a therapy approach that addresses problems such as scarring, fibrosis and degeneration that occur in soft tissues. These problems may develop as the result of trauma, surgery or overuse. ASTYM is effective for new injuries as well as chronic, nagging conditions. ASTYM uses instruments along the surface of the skin to locate these problem areas and start the body’s healing process. As the body heals, exercise and activity help guide the healing which allows you to return to activities without pain and limitation. The success of ASTYM is documented for a wide variety of diagnoses and many times it helps patients where other treatments have failed.
Dynamic Taping absorbs force to reduce the workload on the body. Our taping methodology aims to directly manage load, modify movement patterns, and assist function.
